As far as reality is concerned, what about this for basic: something and nothing. I’m no philosopher, of course, but that kinda seems a little like a material contradiction, and one that “inheres in reality”, too. All the rest on top of that, in all its historically-located messiness, certainly makes it more interesting, and dialectic-prone.
